After the sightseeing on the way from Dharamshala, we entered the beautiful luxury property Pride Surya Mountain Resort. Even in the rainy weather, we could spot the hotel easily. Afterall, Surya a 23 yrs old property has been the only option of a luxury stay. They tied up with Pride about 20 months back. Pride boasts of quality and goodwill while Surya is about retaining the customer through its specialised services. Surya takes special care of its customers through knowing about their likes and dislikes…also the perfect hospitality and friendly atmosphere to the families who come to visit the city. We fashion bloggers need everything fashionable- clothes, shoes, accessories and phone. Yes, a fashionable phone too! No, it’s not about spending half a lakh on a fashionable phone but fashion can come at low prices as well. Just like team ChicLifeByte tells you the right places to shop for all fashionable things, we also tell you the right gadgets. One gadget that is with us 24*7 is our mobile phone. It’s the first thing that we see each morning and the last thing before we go to our dreams and god forbid if we loose it, we feel handicapped. When this small device is so useful, how could we have a sad mobile phone with us. Afterall, it has to match with our identity!

The first thought of West Delhi’s Rajouri Garden lanes frames around shopping, big brands and exclusive restaurants that serve the typical Punjabi istyle Dal-makhni and Butter Chicken that you will not find wherever else in the city. The families come together to enjoy the distinctive Punjabi cuisine known for its rich and buttery flavours.
Aanch – the premier dining and entertainment destination located in the exclusive Shopper Stop Mall in Rajouri Garden, devoted two months in extensive trials to merge new flavours that defy cultural expectation of classical dishes and yet creating something extraordinary.
I am sure you are aware of Team ChicLifeByte’s travelogue to Palampur-Dharamshala and McLeodganj! In case you missed our first post of Palampur where we stayed at the beautiful Glade Homestay, you can read it here. Continuing from where we left you on the last blogpost, we were on an amazing road trip from Palampur to Dharamshala and before we tell you about the awesome place where we stayed, I would like to tell you about the scenic on our way. Our first halt at Dharamshala was Dhauladhar Nature Park (zoo) which is known for the wildlife that lives here. Honestly, we were able to see much more than what we could see at Jim Corbett last year 😉 Yes, we could spot a lot of animals and birds including leopard, emu, black bear and barking deer. The whole tour took about 45 minutes to an hour and then we left to see other spots. While in transit, we saw a momos stall and made out driver stop to know how momos taste in Himachal! Momos here were served with the chilli sauce as well as tomato ketchup! The amazing momos were enjoyed with Banta and then tea! Post which it was time for another religious spot – Chamunda Devi temple. To my pleasant surprise, I saw goats in a temple which is built alongside a beautiful lake with Lord Shiva’s statue.
How many times do we want to cut down from the hustle bustle of the city life and go to a quaint place away from the tension of daily life!
This summers, to take respite from the summer heat as well as the hustle-bustle; I planned to visit Dharamshala-McLeodganj. While doing my research for booking my travel and stay, I bounced upon a place called Palampur, a green hill station in Kangra Valley in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, surrounded by tea gardens and pine forests before they merge with the Dhauladhar ranges. Further research indicated, Palampur is the tea capital of northwest India but tea is just one aspect that makes Palampur a special interest place. Abundance of water and proximity to the mountains has endowed it with mild climate…..this description was enough for me to decide my route! Yes, before I head to the popular hill stations thronged by tourists worldwide known as Dharamshala-McLeodganj, I decided to stop by at Palampur.
Today I am reviewing Holy Smoke, a restaurant that dedicates itself to bringing the tradition of authentic Barbeque style cooking to India. Inside Gurgaon’s most happening location – Cyber Hub, the restaurant is located on the first floor, right next to Hard Rock Cafe. The open terrace in front of the restaurant overlooks the amphitheatre and the DT Cinema ticket counter.
I was met at the restaurant by Saumya, our host for the evening. He is a large Bengali with a larger heart and a lot of warmth. During the night, he made an extra effort to visit our table and suggested some really good items from the menu. Towards the end, he also spent few minutes with us to discuss his life in the culinary industry and we realised that he is someone who takes a lot of pride in the menu and in his job.
With the forthcoming wedding season, we love to don the desi girl avatar and what’s more elegant than getting into the 9 yards to get into the perfect look. When I got married 2 yrs back, I went to the famous markets where shopkeepers would make you wear different sarees complementing you on your height, physique, completion etc. with the aim to make maximum sales. They would even make you eat the famous tikkis and chaat of their respective markets…Sounds fun? But this can be quite a ride with different hassles that come with it- parking, salesman being extra pushy and not getting the right pick for your look.
Yum Yum Cha created quite a rage when it opened in Saket and this time I visited their recently opened Cyberhub outlet. One look around you notice the outlet is themed after the sea– with elements like paper umbrellas, boats, slippers, fish and all the lovely sea creatures, palm trees and the beach with some beautiful origami paintings- a very neatly & nicely organized place with the outside verandah done with the most colourful blend & usage of origami. It is a place full of beautiful origami, colourful, bright & unique with beautiful caricatures of dimsums & sushis in the menu. I was all geared for the Pan Asian Bistro experience of Yum Yum Cha.
