Barcelos launches their second outlet in the most happening place of Delhi, Hauz Khas Village

Food January 31, 2016

Adding to the casual dining space in Hauz Khas Village, Barcelos has launched their second outlet in Delhi. The restaurant reflects a Portugal theme in the interiors and designs of the restaurant stretched in the area of 3600 square feet keeping its focus on modern and antique art. Narrating a story, every wall is different from the other depicting a unique concept of towns in Portugal. What can fascinate you the most is the 3D painting of the real streets of Portugal on a wall creating the most apt ambience of Portugal town in the eatery. The outlet typically has a two-table outdoor seating, a quick-dine space, big bar and a laid-back lounge, along with a separate smoking area and a visible kitchen. The warm colours make it well lit.

Restaurant Review: Lord of the Drinks, Connaught Place

Food January 29, 2016

What does one want in life? Great food, great drinks, great ambience that too at great prices! When we heard about Lord of the Drinks, it did give us an impression that it’s all about drinks but this place proved us wrong. It was also about some absolutely delicious food. Read on to know more!!

We couldn’t resist noticing the woody, stoney, edgy, rough interiors of the place. With bars, grills, red curtains, heavy metals, Iron Man statue, rope lights, the place had the perfect ambience. The restaurant was divided in different sections – 2 long corridors which could seat around 30 to 40 people, Personal Dining Reservation (PDR) for 15 people, main entrance where the DJ console is which can fit 50 people and 2 rooms for 15 to 20 people each. In total there is space for 300 pax spread across the inside dining space and the beautiful terrace. While the inside dining space gave a British theme inspired by Pirates of the Carribbean, the terrace had a nice colourful vibe-red, pink, blue and brown décor with different seating options to make everyone comfortable. Though, what I absolutely loved was the wall art made out of beer bottles which I saw while taking the stairs for the terrace.

Veda’s 10 glorious years of serving authentic Indian Food.

Food January 28, 2016

Veda is a place in CP where we can have delicious Indian food with high quality standards & taste and an ambience which is mesmerizing & which one can never forget be it the dim candlelights or the mirrors and comfortable sofas & chairs. I call it the emperor’s dungeon where you see tall crystal glasses shining in the light (majestic & palace like) and the feel so Aristocratic and classic. The elegant royal mirrors and the luxurious décor is intricately done as the aura leaves you spell bound. The ambience will cast a spell and leave you ecstatic! It is simply breathtaking and the magic so real, captivating & alluring enticing with the glass, mirrors & candlelights lit with the demeanour of the holy devil of fashion world Rohit Bal with his imagination so rich & it makes your heart & senses travel to another world of rich tastes & authentic flavours.

Restaurant Review: En- The Japanese Restaurant, Mehrauli

Food January 26, 2016

Globe Trotting is a passion but when you get to do Globe Trotting for food, its fun! So, after a review of Peru food at Hyatt Regency Delhi, it was time for some authentic Japanese cuisine. The only taste I have had of Japanese cuisine is “Sushi” but when you get to try them at an Authentic Japanese restaurant, the experience is different.

As I entered En- The Japanese Restaurant located in Mehrauli, it made for a perfect dining place in a haveli set up. Beautiful and peaceful arena, bold red interiors, we looked for a space which had good lightning (obviously to get good pics).

A day at Delhi Duty Free

Travel January 24, 2016

Who doesn’t love to shop without paying any international duty and that’s what we have done at Delhi Duty Free a million times. From a last minute pick from Mango to making your trip filled with fragrance from the Perfume section, we have done it all. Afterall, we girls can never resist shoppingggg. So, when Team ChicLifeByte was invited to Delhi Duty Free for a bloggers meet, I was quite excited. The place has everything from Perfumes to liquor to accessories in a layout spread across 440m2 which also makes it India’s LARGEST duty free retail space.

I was impressed with the security check at Terminal-3. Though it’s a different experience when you are at the airport as a traveller but this time we were there as a blogger. We had already sent across our ID proofs through E-mail for the security pass which we personally collected. We were then directed to Terminal 3 where we witnessed the things which we spoke about. Yes, from brands like Pandora, Victoria’s Secret, Hugo Boss, Armani Jeans, Mont Blanc, Mac to chocolates like Butlers, Lindt, Cadbury’s, Smarties, Guylian, Mars. I was actually impressed seeing the variety of brands and products. I felt they have increased the variety from my last international travel.

Junglee Billee, a hub for the feisty woman!!

Food, Lifestyle January 23, 2016

Being a feisty woman is fun but when it comes to having fun with our group of female friends we have always been skeptical about our safety and security. Team ChicLifeByte is all set to bring some relief for all free spirited women of today. Junglee Billee, a stunning new concept boutique studio-in-Bar is now open at Greater Kailash, the heart of South Delhi. It’s India’s first stylized designer eatery and lifestyle destination dedicated to the deserving divas of modern times. Isn’t that a great concept?

What’s more? Can you believe a single man is not allowed to enter this place. Only if a man is accompanied by a woman, he gets an entry, otherwise he can’t enter. Kudos to girl power! I am just in love with the concept.

Dine where Priyanka Chopra has a meal- Aurum

Food January 18, 2016

What if we tell you that you can dine out where Priyanka Chopra goes to have a meal. No, this is not a Mumbai based restaurant, Yes, it’s a Bareilly based restaurant but that doesn’t mean you go will have to drive down to Bareilly when you can grab a bite at the same restaurant in Delhi itself! Yes, you read it right. Priyanka Chopra and her family have been quite regular to Aurum restaurant based out of Bareilly (Priyanka’s hometown) and good news for all PC fans….the place has finally opened up in Delhi after a wait of 6 long years!! Team ChicLifeByte recently made its stop there and was quite impressed with the great food, luxurious ambience and the hospitable management. We met Raj Shrestha Juneja, the director of the luxurious restaurant who took us around the place- a three storey building with a compact terrace which is perfect for winter evenings. The ground and first floor is for the restaurant and the third level is generally for private parties. We loved the gold and purple theme of the restaurant and the Indian fusion menu, though it offers Indian & continental as well. I am sure, like us you would also want to know more about Indian fusion which is ‘Indian food presented in western way’.
