Now who doesn’t love the school time fun & masti and all the fun with teachers and friends when we were children with our tiffin boxes packed with so much love by our mothers who used to wake up early in the morning and we used to get ready carrying our tiffin box, bottle & bag rushing for the school bus.
I am sure you know that Team ChicLifeByte was in Mcleodganj staying in the beautiful suite of the luxury property Pride Surya Mountain Resort. In case you missed on the first part, you can read it here.
As I woke up the next morning, I saw a beautiful view of Mcleodganj from the room’s window. This is not what we can see from any of the Delhi homes or hotels…neither such a big window…nor such a breathtaking view! Both hot water and breakfast was for a limited no. of hours so without wasting much time…we took a quick shower and headed for the first meal of the day.
Garlands of love
Fragrance of love
Lights & flowers embedded
Candles & glass chandeliers stirring the soul,
Making a magical rush in the bloodstream
Which connects to the heartstream
And the centerstage you hold
Orange & yellow pearls
Like a long wedding dream
You become alive
With the magical angel of love in pink
Dancing & moving her hands with all her charm
The lady luck all in peaches and roses
Tarun Tahiliani closed Day 2 of India Couture Week with his collection entitled “The Last Dance of the Courtesan”- a tribute and acknowledgement to the highest bastions of culture, poetry, dance & finesse.
You must have read about ChicLifeByte’s rendezvous with Patrick Cameron sometime back. In case you missed it, you can read it here. Patrick also introduced us to Wella Professionals EIMI styling range there but now they have launched it, I can talk about it in length.
Yeh mausam ka jaadu hai….No, I am not reminiscing a bollywood actress singing and dancing on this song but I am enjoying the magical monsoon! Monsoon brings out a special effect where we would just want to enjoy tea and pakodas in our balcony with our special ones.
Recently, I was invited for a special brunch known as ‘Band Baaja Baarish’ at Informal located at Connaught Place where I would get to experience a special monsoon menu. This quite attracted me and I immediately said yes to the special invitation.
Who doesn’t love brownies? And when brownies are soft, moist, chocolaty, and absolutely yum…who can resist them. I recently visited the factory of the dessert brand Kuppies and realized what I was having all these years wasn’t real brownie but something else. Yes, when I tasted the brownie which Kuppies is introducing, it was very different from what I have had till date.
Ever wished for a meal in heaven and thought how it would be, Café OMG! can take you through an experience
FoodWith something or the other coming up every day in Connaught Place, it’s Umang Tewari’s Café Oh My God (OMG) which has made a place for itself in the heart of the city. Located in F-Block of Connaught Place, as soon as you start climbing up the stairs, you’ll see an angel fairy welcoming you. The staircase looks a little shady; you can’t really decide what is that the doors will open for you. As soon as you enter the place, and get the first look, you will feel as if you have entered a film city set of a heaven shoot.
Owned by IIHM Rookie Chef Winner – Ayush Rastogi and assisted by his sister Shivani, Food On Wheels is situated in the heart of Green Fields Colony, Faridabad. What started with a road side kiosk, this has now developed into a cozy little dining place and is nothing short of good taste.
You enter into the small yet comfortable restaurant and notice the live kitchen right at its entrance. The man behind the live counter would be seen preparing some mouth-watering savories and doing his tricks with mocktails. Done in plain cream coloured background and simple furniture, this place is certainly an evening out place for a group of friends and families alike. The place is well lit- not too dim & not too bright. However, it can definitely work out better on its lighting, décor and overall ambience.
As we made our way to Circus, the latest swanky sensation at South Extension, we found a colourful, lively and joyful environment. Afterall, you have two renowned people behind the place- Shivkaran Singh and Raminder Bakshi. I have stayed in this area ever since I was born and have always missed a fine dining place in this area where one could have a nice meal or even party. Circus perfectly meets the requirements of today’s youngsters who want the right ambience, right food at the right price.
Inspired by foods found in pushcarts and hawker stalls, Circus is a local restaurant telling a global story. Located in South Ex-2 with a terrace offering breathtaking views of the city, diners can choose from an array of global street foods while journeying through the multilevels of this all day diner.
At India On My Plate located in Fortune Select Excalibur, you will find delicacies from every corner of the country right from the Ceylon parota, the famous coconut oil laced mouth-melting parathas from Kerela served with the spicy chicken chettinad to Delhi’s own ram laddu and Mayapuri Burra.
