A Thailand trip is incomplete without a visit to Bangkok. Hence, post our incredible time in Phuket and Krabi, our journey through Thailand led us to the bustling city of Bangkok. Our abode in the vibrant city had to be extra special and hence we chose Montien Surawong Hotel. Our first International trip post Covid had to be special. Afterall we waited for 3 long years to go overseas. We chose to go to Thailand, a destination which I did explore a few years back and absolutely loved it. So why not relive the nostalgia!

It was hard to resist travelling over the last 8 months. Finally, we thought of taking the plunge, packed our bags, picked the car keys and headed to Agra for a royal stay at ITC Mughal.
This time our trip was extra special as it was our first trip post lockdown after a gap of 8-9 months. The old and heritage city Agra known as the ‘city of Love’ not only has the marvelous Taj Mahal but also has the splendid ITC Mughal. ITC’s luxury collection hotel is situated in close proximity to Taj Mahal and is a tribute to the Mughal builders of the past as this hotel is historic and is inspired by the heritage Mughal monuments like Fatehpur Sikri and Agra Fort.
I love the vivid culture India has where one gets to learn about different religions as well as their festivities. I have enjoyed the splendour of Christmas as much as I enjoy Diwali so when I got an invitation for a Ramadan Food Walk from Novotel Hyderabad Airport we could not say ‘NO’. After a 2 hour flight we landed in Hyderabad, the City of Nizams from where in a few minutes we entered the plush and beautiful hotel. A look around and I was captivated with the serene surroundings filled with greenery and nature.
Art is a magic word. It is the creators dream on the canvas of life what he wants to portray with the palette of colours. All his dreams & imaginations whether wild or free or abstract or geometric or asymmetric be whatever just brushes and strokes of creativity on the canvas. Art is beautiful! What the painter thinks comes alive and we call it a painting & beautify our lives everyday looking at the dreamer’s imagination & colours of their skillful hard work.
So now the big news of the town is that the US fast food restaurant chain “Carl’s Jr.” who are known for their special Char grilled burgers & hand scooped milkshakes is the new joint to open in Delhi in the Saket area. Their burgers are nutritious & awesomely delicious with filling & patties whether vegetarian or chicken all have distinct flavours along with different & unique sauces.
Singh Sahib Restaurant located in Eros Hotel, Nehru Place makes me go into nostalgia because it has brought the concept of Delhi 6 से 19. Delhi 6 से 19 is a Street food festival wherein they have brought the street food from Delhi 6 (Old Delhi) to Delhi 19 (Nehru Place).
The BMW India Bridal Fashion Week kicked off with the opening show by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla. So let’s begin with Sonam’s grand entry in a black & golden mesmerizing dress. It’s the body language or the face that we read & the song played in the background being “Will you still love me when I am no longer young & beautiful”. The diva was wearing a black multi panelled net flared gown detailed in gold & mirror with three dimensional lotuses embellished with swarovski crystals. Sonam’s lovely attire, the way she sashayed in heels was commendable. I could spot Mrs. Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Nanda Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia (looking graceful as ever) & Rinke Khanna sitting in the front row. The collection paid homage to Varanasi.
Zaza Box is the magic box of goodness & nutrition and in Spanish “Nutricion deliciosamente” is the right word to describe the meal that was there in the beautiful wooden Zaza Magic Box.
Zaza Box is a delivery service started by an IIT Bombay alumnus Avinav Nigam & his wife Sonal who has been a Gym Fitness coach for 10 years & also a Miss India 2007 semi-finalist (WOW). They wanted people to have healthy nutritional meals & organic food with natural ingredients within the comfort & confines of their home. Zaza Box reads healthy fine dining in a box. Aplava derives its name from Sanskrit origins. Aplava (pronounced “AAp luv” in original sanskrit) means taking a bath to purify oneself. It’s an ablution process of cleansing oneself.
In the sprawling Hotel Ashoka lies the high class luxurious restaurant ZERRUCO where every corner is lively, cheerful & happy with balls & petals of changing lighting according to the day or night pattern providing a premium dining restaurant experience in the premises of Diplomatic Enclave in Delhi. The high end deconstructed midtown lighthouse warehouse is bordered in glass & alfresco area lined with wooden panels & the mood lighting also reflects in every corner. They have the city’s selection of the choicest contemporary Mediterranean cuisine.
I was all excited to visit this place in Connaught Place called Open House. Geared & charged up I went to the restobar which was done in red in the truest sense & blue in the coolest sense. Hip, hit & happening is the word for Priyank Sukhija’s places! It’s amazingly comfortable & vast with a DJ in house and is a warm & lively lit up place. Every corner of the restaurant is so nicely done. I met the F&B Executive Manish Joshi, the Sr. Captain Vikas Singh & the in-charge Rajat who greeted us very warmly & helped us decide our order.
It’s the time of the season when you wanna smell great & look good all the time. I recently got a chance to review Passion Fruit Body Butter from The Nature’s Co. I found the product really unique and the best part is that it does not cling to the skin. I specially loved the Piglet pink colour and the romantic Passion fruit fragrance. It is very smooth to touch too.
The ambience, the place, the crowd & the hospitality amazes us on entering this restaurant called Indigo Delicatessen located in Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj.
I met Ryan, the manager who was really polite & assigned us a table. We started with various varieties of breads which were served along with melting butter. The first bread was multi-grain bread which was fresh, crisp, hot as if straight out of the oven & tasted well.
