Radika J: The latest sensation in the footwear industry!

Shoe Love is True Love– Anonymus

And that’s what our lady has in mind. We are talking about none other than Radhika Jain who is all set to take the shoe industry by storm. When I met her, the first question I asked her was why shoe designing? Why not fashion designing? The lady spoke about her affection with footwear and we can’t agree more! The young entrepreneur said ‘Ever since I came out of school, I had entrepreneurship in mind and wanted to venture into a creative field’. That’s when she went to London College of Fashion (Cordwainers), UK to learn footwear design from an international perspective. Even after coming to India, she continued to hone her knowledge on the peculiarities of footwear designing, and completed her post graduation in Footwear Technology from Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI), Noida and Mewar University respectively. She additionally learnt Online Retail for Fashion Business from LCF, UK. All of this education coupled with a rich practical work experience in India and Italy lent her the spirit to start on her own.

Being in plus size and always want to fit in the most loved jeans maybe your favourite one which has become tight and become the talk topic of the house trying to adjust to your figure flaws or body shaming, embarrassed & helpless scrutinizing sizes at the clothes store for the perfect fit but still you feel as if you were feather light & thin and for a food blogger like me who just cannot diet, life is not easy but full of fat bubbles & weight that comes with dozens & oodles adding that extra inch to my size.

Gauri & Nainika at #AIFWSS17

Gauri & Nainika’s show at the Amazon India Fashion Week Spring Summer’17 was definitely one of my favourites!

The models walked & sashayed in frilly frocks in peaches, navy, black, white, red and brown. Black, white & navy dominated the collection with pops of fuschia and mustard. The collection was flowy, sexy, sultry and desirable containing the feminine frilly touches adding more drama with organza tulle, ruffles & weightless striped silks.

Amit Aggarwal’s Spring Summer’17 collection at the Amazon India Fashion Week was one such show drawing inspiration from his childhood memories. The line is a fusion of what India has to offer in the west- textiles and what industrialization has brought in- technology.

When style and technology meet each other!

Fashion is not only about donning great clothes but about style and comfort too. When we were asked to do a fashion post for Coolpad we were confused as to where to go! Somewhere there is style, somewhere there is comfort. It’s important to keep the fashion graph high but not at the stake of choosing between comfort and style.

So we decided to go to 2 different destinations of the fashion world – a brand and a designer. A brand would always have options across various styles while a designer will have different lines.
