My home away from home in Mumbai and Jaipur

Luxurious living has its own charm and when you travel you need all the amenities in a space which is a home away from home. Today I am going to tell you two of my favourite adobes where I can luxuriously spend my time! Actually I can stay there for a lifetime. Though one is located at a distance to be flown away from my base city (Delhi), Mumbai is like a second home for the umpteen times I have been to the city for work. The other one is at a driving distance from my base city. No one can resist Jaipur’s colourful streets! Master Chef Dong Long recreates his magic at The China Kitchen, Hyatt Regency, Delhi

Started a chilly winter evening with an authentic Chinese dinner paired with some Chilean Wine, what more can one ask for. With a very warm staff and we chose to sit next to the pool, The China Kitchen at Hyatt Regency, Delhi gave a perfect location for a romantic date type of a dinner (just saying, we were there to EAT). The evening started with beautifully rolled menu with a pretty red ribbon stating the special creation in the menu by Master Chef Dong Long and poured in some Chilean Wine for the lady and Glenfiddich for the gentleman.

We chose to ask the manager to serve whatever was the Chef’s recommendation for us to try. And trust me; a master chef can never go wrong with it. Not even a single thing that was served to us disappointed us in any way, neither the presentation nor not the taste. Everything was just perfect. Continue Reading

Maria Goretti adds a personal touch to your kitchen with her new book

Maria O Maria, No…we are not starting a karaoke but are praising the multi-talented Maria Goretti. You wanna know why? Hold your breath! We would love to reveal the reason. We recently got an invitation for a book launch. Any guesses on who wrote the book? Yes, you guessed it right, our very own bubbly VJ (that’s the first thing that comes to my mind about her).  An Economics graduate who studied fashion design, a dancer, model, VJ, she has done it all and now adorns another feather in her cap as she turns author with her debut book ‘From My Kitchen To Yours’.  You know what, she claims to have started cooking out of desperation as she didn’t want her cute kids to say “mujhe mere baap ke khane se pyaar hain(Honestly, that’s something that even I dread – my husband is a great cook and I don’t even know the a, b, c of cooking).
