Amari Bangkok isn’t just a name, it’s an emotion! That’s what I could say after staying at luxurious hotel at Bangkok.

Amari Bangkok (formerly Amari Watergate Bangkok), which stands for luxury and indulgence, not only catered to world class hospitality but also extended a customized and personalised welcome! Read on to know more!

The stunning lobby aptly named “Water of Life” welcomed me and my family open heartedly. The sleek and breezy chandelier made up of 847 pieces of individually handcrafted Murano glass was a sight to behold and immediately caught our attention. Purple orchids floral set up also made for a stunning impression. A traditional Thai floral garland welcome by the staff made our welcome even more joyful. On arrival we met General Manager Sukamal Mondal, Marcom Manager Sunakshi Mahendru, and their dedicated team who set the tone for an extraordinary stay.

Our check-in did not happen at the lobby. From the main reception desk in the lobby, we were taken up to the Executive Lounge on the 32nd floor to check-in which elevated our experience even further. A refreshing welcome drink made its entry while we relaxed on plush sofas, savouring the anticipation of the luxurious stay ahead.

It was time to check out our rooms – Premier Room and a Grand Deluxe Room. First, we were taken to the spacious and beautifully decorated Premier Room, where I got the biggest and delightful surprise!

As I entered, I discovered the mirror of the room was adorned with my pictures along with a special welcome message. A few steps away were sweet Thai treats and macarons along with another picture of mine. It was such a thoughtful gesture that really made me feel welcome as I jumped with joy. The comfortable bed, and a window with views of the city made my stay even more delightful. The luxurious and large bathroom, featuring twin sinks, was a testament to the hotel’s attention to detail.

The Grand Deluxe room was even more plush and spacious. We got a single bed added in addition to the twin beds already there in the room. With ample space, and a luxurious bathtub in the bathroom, it made the stay even more.

The biggest advantage of staying at Amari Bangkok was its location. Since we were staying in the heart of Bangkok, we took advantage of the hotel’s proximity to Platinum Mall, which is just across the street. Afterall, who can resist shopping when in Bangkok. The next few hours flew away exploring Platinum Mall and a couple of other shopping malls/plazas in the vicinity. We found some great deals on clothes, shoes, and souvenirs.

We headed back to the hotel which was across the road. Loved the fact that we didn’t have to book a cab to head back.

It was time to commence the much awaited culinary journey at Amari Bangkok and for the same we headed to Prego. Amari Bangkok’s stunning Italian restaurant is done up in the most classy and elegant way. Wooden ceilings, well lit up, calming interiors, an open kitchen, a stunning bar are some of the attributes we witnessed as we made our grand entry. With the whiff in the air, we went around and saw the artistry of pizza-making from scratch.

Freshly baked bread, Sangria con frutta fresca, and the outstanding Burrata Cheese on marinated tomato set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. We also tried the Insalata Mediterranea Salad, which was a refreshing mix of Mediterranean greens, artichoke, olives, and mozzarella cheese.

The classic Penne Arrabiata and Spaghetti Aglio Olio were both done to perfection. However, the highlight of our evening was Prego Lasagna Alla Bolognese, artfully topped with cheese live at our table. This lasagna is made with Prego’s secret bolognese sauce, and it is simply to die for.

Unable to decide which Pizza to go for, we went for two pizzas, one vegetarian and one with chicken, and they were both delicious. The freshness of the pizzas and the delightful desserts, including homemade ice cream, chocolate brownie with ice cream, and a unique matcha-flavored treat, left an indelible mark. A definite visit when in Bangkok!

We came back to the room and retired for the day on the plush beds of our room.

Mornings are indeed special. Not only because you have had a great sleep but also because a grand and yummy breakfast waiting at Amaya Food Gallery.

So without any delay, we headed for breakfast at Amaya Food Gallery. The restaurant is huge and has a buffet spread that includes everything you could possibly want for breakfast. Divided across different sections, there are fresh salads, croissants, breads, live omelettes, juices, cakes, sausages, potato wedges, eggs, cornflakes, muesli, fruits, and so much more. Different props across different sections made the place look even more vibrant.

However, I made my visit to a special counter which had something very close to my heart. Yes, it was Indian food. We were incredibly surprised to find that there was also Indian food in the breakfast buffet – yummy yummy Pav Bhaji, Chhole, Idli Sambar, and even a live Dosa counter. Witnessing Thai chefs cooking dosa was indeed a sight to behold. However, we also got to know that there is an Indian chef in the hotel and hence knew the taste will be incredible.

After breakfast, we headed around for some more shopping. We spent a few hours exploring centralwOrld mall and the surrounding area and found some great deals.

For dinner, we again headed to Amaya Food Gallery. We also got a glimpse of the sleek and breezy chandelier made up of Murano glass which looked just so mesmerising. The buzzing restaurant we witnessed that morning was calm and composed.

The night was a gastronomic extravaganza. We had a mix of Indian, Italian and American food and relished every bit. Let me first tell you about my former love! Papdi Chaat….so yum and delicious followed by Vegetable Samosas…it was such a nice feeling to have these delicacies in a foreign land. It was followed by Kadai Paneer, Dal Tadka, and assorted Indian breads. Loved loved loved it. We also met the Indian chef who mentioned the masalas are all imported from India and thats the secret of the authentic taste that’s extended to the guests. We also tried other delicacies like Greek Salad, Penne Arrabiata, Fish n Chips along with fresh coconut water! Everything was just so flavourful and appetizing. The meal concluded with a refreshing fruit platter and ice cream.

If you’re a seafood enthusiast, don’t miss the incredible seafood special buffet at Amari Bangkok, offering an extensive array of delectable options.

Adjacent to the restaurant, the Italthai Cellar offered an extensive selection of wines, adding a touch of sophistication to the dining experience.

We walked back to our room and ended the night in our magnificent room.

The following morning, our last in Bangkok, began with an intimate and quiet breakfast experience at the Executive Lounge. It was the same place where our check-in also happened. The exclusive access Executive Club lounge offers complimentary access to guests staying in Amari Bangkok Club Level guest rooms and suites. The breakfast looked so neat the way it was displayed. Colourful and nutritious delights spread out in the most aesthetic way. We tried the delectable spread of salads, cold cuts, sushi, juices, dim sum, and more more. The view from the lounge was just so alluring.

The hotel also has a number of other amenities, including a spa, a fitness center and a swimming pool.

While at Amari Bangkok, we couldn’t have headed back without a rejuvenating session at Breeze Spa, conveniently located next to the pool. A walk to the spa in itself was an enriching experience passing the exquisite pool. As I stepped inside the spa, I was captivated with a wonderful fragrance. The staff briefed me about various therapies and I chose a therapy of my choice.

The spa room, adorned with 2 beds and a jacuzzi, provided a serene ambiance for my much-needed escape. From the soothing foot massage to the gentle strokes across the body, every moment at the spa was a pathway to pure tranquillity. Grateful for this rejuvenating oasis at Amari Bangkok!

The tranquil atmosphere and the well-equipped gym added to the overall experience.

Amari Bangkok’s versatility extends beyond leisure. For business and event requirements, there are numerous meeting rooms and event spaces.

As our stay concluded with a late-night dinner at Amaya Food Gallery, featuring a Caesar wrap, bread-crumbed Chicken Burger, Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani, Butter Chicken with assorted breads, we bid farewell to Amari Bangkok with hearts full of gratitude.

We had an incredible stay at Amari Bangkok – the impeccable hospitality, exquisite culinary experiences, luxurious amenities, and the array of activities made our stay an unforgettable chapter in the heart of Bangkok.
