A Break From Work Turned Into a Dream Come True

Lifestyle May 13, 2017

~My Eureka Moment to meet the king of Bollywood SHAHRUKH KHAN~

Last Thursday when the weekend had a few more hours to go before setting in, most people might’ve had a movie date planned, some would be having their shopping lists ready while there might be some who’d be escaping the concrete jungle for a quick weekend getaway. But for me, it started a day earlier and in the most pleasantly unexpected ways! I was at the R-city mall for catching a movie. I’d had an exhausting day of work (what with all the brain churning stuff I have to put down on paper) so I thought this would give my body as well my mind some much needed break.

Yes, a Bollywood themed cafe!! You will find dialogues of movies written all over the place. Dialogues, posters, photo frames, selfies & pouts are a few things to mention that you will find on their walls. There is also rooftop area on the floor above. Close to something looking like a tree house, Mumbai Matinee takes a Bollywood lover through her favourite tales

Food July 13, 2016

After a hectic day and work, I found myself a secret gem, Mumbai Matinee. This is a paradise for Bollywood addicts, which I proudly am. Located near the powerhouse in Shahpur Jat, this is a complete tree house café (just not in wood). You climb up a flight of stairs in a mesh decorated with those 90’s audio cassettes, that ofcourse all of us had at some time and loved playing with them. I started going back to my childhood memory lane from the entry itself. These audio cassettes reminded me of rolling them back with a pencil and the happiness it gave.
